In this short series of three talks the Greek New Testament will be discussed: its origins and history; an evaluation of the range of available translations; the value of the Greek text for the study of the Scriptures; the way in which knowledge of New Testament Greek can impact on our understanding.
Tuesday, 30 September: Talk 1. The languages of New Testament times and the reason why the New Testament was written in Koine Greek. The history of the texts of the New Testament, examining the age and authenticity of the oldest existing texts.
